York, Maine is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing – Inpatient Care to provide leadership and operational oversight for the Medical/Surgical Units and ICU. The Director of Nursing is responsible for nursing care, patient safety, quality outcomes, staff management, and departmental operations while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for Medical/Surgical and ICU departments.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe, patient-centered care.
• Manage staffing, budgeting, and departmental resources.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Maintain 24-hour accountability for patient care operations and outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Active Maine RN License or Compact RN License in good standing.
• Leadership experience in an acute care/inpatient setting.
• Specialty and leadership certifications preferred.
