Required Skills & Experience
Experience setting up and operating large-format 5-axis CNC mills
Experience machining parts on equipment with a work envelope of approximately 60 inches or larger
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
Experience setting tooling, work offsets, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters
Experience inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience editing or optimizing CNC programs at the machine control
Experience with CAM software, probing systems, or advanced fixturing
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience machining steel, stainless steel, or aluminum
Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a 5-Axis CNC Machinist in Fort Worth, Texas. This individual will set up and operate a large-format 5-axis CNC mill with a 60-inch bed. Responsibilities include loading and securing workpieces, selecting tooling, establishing offsets, reviewing blueprints and job specifications, monitoring machine performance, and making in-process adjustments. The machinist will inspect parts using precision measurement equipment, troubleshoot setup or dimensional issues, perform routine machine care, and coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and quality teams as needed. This is a fully onsite position with a compensation range of $40–$60 per hour.
