Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour shifts, with day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, and night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekends are scheduled every other week.

The Cardiac Stepdown Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The RN will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions requiring monitoring and treatment, handling cases such as post-catheterization and post-operative care for lung surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions, providing appropriate interventions.
• Titrate medications including cardiac gtts (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine).
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and home care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Experience in titrating drips and managing complex cardiac care.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
