This ICU Registered Nurse position is available on a per diem basis, offering a convenient day shift schedule. The ideal candidate will deliver safe and competent nursing care in alignment with our facility's policies, standards, and philosophy. This role includes providing professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, with a focus on Patient-Centered Care as the foundation for all nursing practices. Adherence to Service Excellence standards is expected at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute care plans utilizing nursing expertise and skills, integrating both direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnoses and co-morbidities.
  • Coordinate the interdisciplinary care plan for assigned patients, establishing goals, treatment strategies, and discharge plans tailored to individual patient and family needs.
  • Conduct purposeful hourly rounds to enhance nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (e.g., pain management, repositioning, toileting). Evaluate the environment proactively to ensure it is safe and accommodating for patients.
  • Educate and support patients and families regarding hospital-specific aspects of the Patient-Centered Care Delivery model, including policies on open medical records, family visitation, and maintaining a tranquil environment.

Qualifications
  • Valid nursing license in Nevada
  • A minimum of one year of experience in critical care nursing
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, or to be obtained within six months of hire
