If you like solving complex challenges and seeing your work deployed around the world with real impact, Northwood is the place to do it.As an Inventory Specialist at Northwood, you will be an integral part of our Supply Chain team, ensuring that materials, hardware, and components flow seamlessly through our Torrance manufacturing facility. You'll play a key role in enabling rapid production and deployment of our systems, maintaining precision and reliability across all inventory operations.We operate in a lean, transparent, high-trust environment that rewards initiative and adaptability. You'll work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations to ensure our inventory systems scale with our growth.Responsibilities:Receive, inspect, and store raw materials, parts, and hardware to support manufacturing and R&D operationsPick, organize, and stage components to keep production running efficiently and ensure build accuracy.Verify incoming materials for conformity, quantity, part numbers, and damage-free conditionMaintain strict material handling and traceability practicesMonitor shelf-life storage and perform stock rotations to ensure part integrityInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventoriesRecord all inventory movements and transactions in our ERP system with attention to detailSupport inventory replenishment and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain teamPerform cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory recordsMaintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety standardsBasic Qualifications:Strong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with computer software, including spreadsheets, email, and resource planning programsUnderstanding of inventory and kitting processesExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to stand for extended periods (4–6 hours/day) and lift up to 50 lbsPreferred Qualifications:3+ years of inventory control or warehouse experienceExperience operating forklifts and related inventory equipmentFamiliarity with Manufacturo or other manufacturing software (ERP/MRP)Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environmentsPrior experience in aerospace, electronics, or related manufacturing fieldsAdditional Information:If you need a reasonable accommodation as part of your application for employment or interviews with us, please let us know.To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.Northwood Space is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Northwood Space is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
