Must-Have:

• Previous surgical experience
• Ability to float to other units when necessary
• Willingness to work every other weekend

Description: Floating to other units is expected occasionally. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit requires fast-paced inpatient surgical experience. The patient ratio is generally 6:1. Candidates must be able to care for pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on the surgical procedure. General surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, and other surgical specialties are common. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed, but shifts can be grouped together when possible. All travelers must comply with the RTO policy concerning holidays. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted. Fit testing is required, and travelers must be clean-shaven for this process. Exemptions for fit testing must be approved.
