As a Lead Histology professional, you'll play an important role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the tissue samples that support diagnosis and treatment. Alongside performing hands-on histology work, you'll help guide daily lab operations, support team members, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership and wants to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative lab environment.

The starting annual salary for this position is $70,579 and this will include an additional geographic differential of $6.04/hr. This will include a full comprehensive benefits package.

In this role, you will:

• Perform all histology procedures, including tissue preparation, slide staining, and specialized techniques such as immunohistochemistry
• Support daily lab operations by coordinating workflows and helping assign tasks
• Provide training, guidance, and support to staff and students
• Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures
• Help implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance programs
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot instruments and processes to keep the lab running efficiently
• Track, review, and analyze laboratory data to identify trends and improvements
• Use laboratory systems to document and report patient test results
• Coordinate inventory and ensure lab supplies are well managed
• Support compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Collaborate on research projects and assist with validating new methods or equipment
