Guest Service Supervisor

Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignmentsPossesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same-day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation proceduresAssist in interviewing, training, new hotel staffKnows room locations, types of rooms available, and room ratesRegisters arriving guests and assigns roomsAssign work and supervise team members performance in all Front Desk proceduresCoordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day roomsCoordinates guest room maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance divisionUses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotelKnows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotelReports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant managerManages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous mannerProcesses guest check-outs and handle monetary transactionsHire and provide training to all guest services staff, schedule work of all visitors and staff and ensure compliance to all budget requirements and provide the required feedbackOversee everyday operations of all front desk team members and coordinate with various potential owners and resolve all inquiries and complaintsMonitor and maintain inventory of all resort supplies and provide staff with all supplies as per requirementMaintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanorPerforms other duties as assignedNorth Beach Village Resorts provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events.Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, and cash handling policies and procedures.
