Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit including LDR rooms, OB Triage, Antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
• Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases with an average daily delivery census of approximately 7, with potential for up to 14 patients
• Perform OB triage assessments for third-trimester testing patients and incoming triage patients
• Serve in or train toward a Charge Nurse role as unit needs require
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Work every other weekend and two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start; pending license accepted at time of submission (must be obtained within required timeframe)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health records charting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience in Labor and Delivery or willingness to train in a charge role
• Experience working in a high-volume, high-acuity OB environment
• Familiarity with OB triage workflows and antepartum patient management
