Licensed Practical Nurse (full-time) position to provide services for a short-term crisis management center in Laurel, MS. The role involves coordinating medical services and providing nursing needs for adults with serious mental illness. The ideal candidate has prior experience in behavioral health and a professional, compassionate demeanor. The LPN works with the mental health care team to provide safe and effective treatment to the consumer during crisis, promoting a positive environment to facilitate community reintegration. The position covers 12‑hour shifts on a 3/2 rotation. For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Requirements Valid MS LPN license Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record Behavioral healthcare experience preferred Excellent verbal and written skills required Experience working in a crisis unit preferred Desire to work with consumers who have a serious mental illness diagnosis Responsibilities Administers medications and treatments as ordered. Charts progress, medication, symptoms, incidents, and observations. Provides information regarding changes in progress to the Charge Nurse.
