Submission Requirements: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply. Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up *ALL SUBMITTALS MUST INCLUDE A UNEXPIRED COPY OF THE CANDIDATES DRIVES LICENSE* General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS Specialty Certifications, For Adult echo one of these certifications: * ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) How many scanners/rooms does this dept have? 12 total scanning rooms combined Will they have to float/cover any other areas? No float coverage Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Adult echo - would only be doing adult echocardiograms Experience or 'Must have' skills:Adult echo- use of image enhancing agents, shunt (bubble) studies, STRAIN imaging, prepare preliminary report for MD Average # of studies per day: Adult echo- 8 - 1 hour slots EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: EMR- EPIC Reporting system for echo is ISCV and Medstreaming for vascular Department Specific Equipment: Philips Epiq 7 and GE Vivid E95 for echo GE Logiq 10 for vascular and US vascular Vasculab Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech? Lead echo sonographer and Lead vascular sonographer Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no Radiologist in-house? N/A Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) If they have IV skills it is beneficial for adult echo sonographer - not a requirement Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Day shift either 5- 8 hour shifts 8-430 or 4-10 hour shifts 7-530 - depending on need of the lab. Weekend Requirements Would ask for occasional weekend coverage - can discuss Holiday Requirements No Call or Standby requirement? Response time? No call involved Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Not required to buy the color scrubs we wear - can wear scrubs that they have Department specific orientation Clinical preceptor and lead sonographer will work with the traveler
