Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, implement treatments, and evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions.
• Administer medications safely and consistently in accordance with applicable state practice standards and facility policies.
• Perform nursing care associated with life-supporting technology including ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, and Impella; perform hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheter management.
• Clinically manage critically ill patients with multi-system organ failure across a primarily MICU and SICU population, including some neurological patients.
• Serve as a point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and for patients' families and caregivers.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including spiritual care, palliative, and ethics services as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with direct ICU experience required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 6 months of hire.
• Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available).
• Non-local candidates only; local candidates will not be considered for this position.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with LVOs, EVDs, lumbar drains, Swan-Ganz catheters, IABP, Impella, and CRRT strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
• Certifications such as CCRN, TNCC, TCRN, NIH Stroke Certification, or RN-BC preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
