ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Shipping Clerk is to perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping and distribution of all outbound materials. Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times Inspects all goods to be shipped against packing slips to ensure materials or parts are shipped accurately Read and understand shipping paperwork; prepares goods for delivery and enters all relevant information into electronic receiving system Operate forklift for truck and van loading; brace and block trailers as needed Prepare, band, and wrap pallets Perform other related duties as assigned LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS Forklift Experience required EXPERIENCE Entry Level SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Able to understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications Basic level computer skills to include MS Outlook and Excel; experience with Epicor system preferable Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing 25- 80 lbs Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer WORK ENVIRONMENT Warehouse environment with multi step process production runs on different machines. High value, highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications.
