With more than half of our 259-bed teaching hospital dedicated to intensive care services, we serve as the regional pediatric referral center for Florida’s west coast. The Hematology-Oncology Unit (7 South) is a 28-bed pediatric unit that cares for patients of all ages and acuity levels. With specialized nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 for hematology-oncology patients and 1:2 for blood and marrow transplant patients, the unit provides high-quality, individualized care. As part of the Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute, the team offers advanced treatments for children, teens, and young adults with cancers and blood disorders, including leukemia and sickle cell disease. The hospital is also the first children’s hospital in Florida certified to provide CAR-T therapy, highlighting its commitment to innovative care and improved outcomes.

Qualifications:

• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred. Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered and must obtain BSN within 36 months of hire

• Registered Nurse (RN) Required. Florida State or Compact License required.

• A minimum of 6 months of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse, preferred 2 years of experience

• Experience in pediatric HEM/ONC preferred

• BLS certification provided by AHA

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
