McDonald YMCA Personal Trainer

Overview As a YMCA Personal Trainer at the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, you will be responsible for creating and delivering personalized fitness programs that inspire and motivate members to achieve their health and wellness goals. You will play a key role in member engagement, retention, and satisfaction by providing high-quality training services and maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment. Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with members. Offer continuous motivation, support, and accountability. Conduct fitness assessments to establish baseline measurements and identify member goals. Provide follow-up consultations to monitor progress and adjust programs. Design and implement personalized training programs based on individual needs, preferences, and fitness levels. Ensure the fitness area is clean, safe, and well-maintained. Follow all YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety. Respond to and report any accidents or incidents promptly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM) required. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment). Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to design and implement effective and engaging fitness programs. Knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, and nutrition. Ability to motivate and inspire individuals of all fitness levels. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to demonstrate exercises, lift and carry fitness equipment, and assist members with physical activities.
