Plumbing Engineer in Training

Plumbing Engineer in Training (EIT) A leading engineering design and consulting firm, SSR provides innovative solutions for clients with facility and infrastructure challenges. SSR operates across the US and partners with diverse markets to deliver lasting solutions. The Plumbing EIT assists senior design staff in technical activities on assigned projects, learning discipline‑specific standards and procedures. The role supports project delivery on time, within budget, and in line with industry standards, under supervision. Key Responsibilities Learn industry standards and company technical policies during project execution. Observe and learn design analysis practices using industry software. Assist with production of designs using Revit and/or CAD under senior staff guidance. Help execute design processes and calculations and request assistance as needed. Assist with coordination of project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs and provide technical input. Observe project managers’ methods for developing man‑hour budgets. Assist in developing technical documentation, proposals, and presentations. Communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment sales representatives. Participate in site visits to investigate conditions and monitor progress. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, and engineering reports. Attend training and educational opportunities to acquire necessary technical knowledge. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited college. Knowledge of industry‑specific software such as Revit and AutoCAD. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Understanding of engineering theories and methodologies.
