Lead the sales floor at Tampa Bay's wheelchair-accessible van dealer

Mobility Florida sells, converts, rents and services wheelchair-accessible vans (WAVs) for families, veterans, caregivers and transport companies across Tampa Bay and all of Florida. We are an independent, owner-operated dealer, not a franchise store. Our customers are not shopping for a color; they are solving a real problem in their life, and they remember who treated them right.

We are hiring a Sales Manager to own the sales department: run the floor, work the leads, desk the deals, and build a customer base with patience and follow-through. If you have run a used-car desk and want to sell something that changes how people live, this is the opportunity.

What you'll do

• Run the day-to-day sales operation: greet customers, demonstrate vans with lowered floors, hand controls and transfer seats, and guide buyers to the right van for their needs and their budget
• Desk and structure deals, including financing, trade-ins and out-of-state purchases with shipping
• Own the lead pipeline: respond quickly to phone, text, web and Facebook Marketplace inquiries and follow up until every lead is closed or dead in the CRM (Goxee)
• Hire, train and coach sales staff as the department grows; hold the team to a daily follow-up and appointment process
• Help price and merchandise inventory, spot aged units, and give the owner feedback on what to buy at auction and what to convert
• Coordinate deliveries with the shop so every van leaves in working condition, a clean interior and a customer who knows how to use it
• Build referral relationships with rehab hospitals, VA and Vocational Rehab counselors, therapists, nursing homes and NEMT operators
• Protect our online reputation: every customer gets a fair deal and a straight answer, before and after the sale

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of automotive sales management or desk experience (independent, used-car or BHPH store experience is a plus)
• Proven closer who is comfortable working deals across the credit spectrum and with lender programs
• Hands-on with CRM lead management, Facebook Marketplace and internet leads
• Patient and clear with elderly customers, caregivers and first-time WAV buyers; able to explain equipment without pressure
• Wheelchair van, mobility, medical equipment sales experience is a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; able to drive full-size vans and minivans
• Must pass a background check
