The company is best known for their patented credit card enabled, solar powered single-space parking meter and web-based management system.

Summary

The RMA/Repair Technician will test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software to repair and improve the quality of the product.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair high tech/cellular/radio communication based, single space parking meters
• Process paperwork associated to processing and billing equipment returned for warranty and out of warranty repair
• Document repair information, such as time and parts used to repair, for billing and QC purposes
• Proactively work to streamline existing processes.
• Provide data analysis and reports to management regarding quality and recommendations on design or manufacturing changes, in order to improve the quality of our product
• Prioritize and manage workload in order to reduce the turnaround time of returned equipment.
• Must follow standard ESD procedure when handling electronic components

Knowledge

• Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of our meters
• Must have an associate degree 1in electronics technology

Abilities

• Ability to continually learn new product service techniques.
• Ability to tell when something is wrong.
• Proven ability in developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to use basic computer skills to perform diagnostic testing.
• Available for stand-by and after-hours responsibility.

• Manipulation of hand tools and power tools to repair, adjust, install, or replace electrical or mechanical components or parts.
• Use hands to tighten vice grips, hold tweezers, scissors long nose pliers, and a silicon gun; to tape and apply labels.
• Must be able to see clearly.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, stand, push and pull.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position is in a factory and will involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and manipulating materials for long periods of time throughout the day. The environment is clean and typically free from dust and hazardous materials. This indoor environment is temperature controlled.
