Overview Clinical Operations Manager- ED The Clinical Operations Manager of the Emergency Department at Indiana University Health combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. The incumbent translates and achieves strategic priorities and outcomes, including quality and safety improvements, care affordability, and exceptional patient and team member experiences. The manager provides strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit, leads an interprofessional team to create an empowered environment, advances nursing practice by advocating and embedding evidence‑based practices, and provides oversight of a unit that is operational and staffed 24×7, including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Translate and achieve strategic priorities focused on quality, safety, care affordability, patient experience, and team member experience. Provide strategic vision and operational planning for the Emergency Department unit. Lead an interprofessional team to foster empowerment and excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. Advocate for and embed evidence‑based practices and professional nursing standards. Oversee a unit that operates 24×7, including weekends and holidays. Serve in a fully onsite role at Fishers Hospital, Monday‑Friday day shift, with availability to round to evenings and weekends as required. Key Relationships Reports to: VP‑CNO Candidate Qualifications Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN). Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
