Position Summary:
The Regional Speech Therapist provides and oversees speech-language pathology services across multiple nursing homes within Baltimore/Silver Spring region. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant therapy services and positive resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans per physician orders
Provide clinical support and guidance to speech therapy staff across facilities
Ensure documentation and services comply with Medicare and regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families
Support quality improvement and program development initiatives
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current state SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP
2+ years experience in a nursing home or SNF setting
Ability to travel between facilities; valid driver’s license
Preferred:
Regional or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of SNF regulations and reimbursement
