Step into a rewarding contract position as a school-based Registered Nurse serving preschool-aged children in a dynamic and supportive educational environment. This full-time opportunity begins July 31, 2026, and extends through May 26, 2027. You’ll be based at a dedicated campus in the Denver area, working Monday to Friday with a consistent 37.5-hour schedule.

In this vital role, you will be the primary nursing professional for approximately 120 students ages 3-5. Nearly half of the students have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and significant needs, making your expertise and compassionate approach crucial. You’ll have your own private office and collaborate daily with an experienced multidisciplinary team, including special education staff, mental health professionals, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide training and delegation of health-related procedures to staff as needed
• Support the development and implementation of health plans and ensure student safety
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering medical insights for individualized programming
• Respond promptly to daily health calls from students and staff
• Conduct routine vision, hearing, and dental screenings
• Meticulously manage and maintain student health records in compliance with school and state guidelines

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent practical experience)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado
• Colorado special services provider license (or eligibility for one with appropriate endorsements)
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to complete a background check prior to start
