General Production Worker
We are seeking for General Production Worker to join our team, specializing in processing peas for various food and pharmaceutical companies. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare outbound orders and sign off on remote orders, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
- Generate shipping labels and create bills of lading.
- Transfer products to Americold/warehouse and complete the necessary documentation for receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective preparation of shipments and receipts with appropriate materials and documentation.
- Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance business performance.
- Actively seek to improve knowledge of our customers, their markets, and business to ensure efficient plan delivery.
Essential Skills
- Experience in machine operating, production, material handling, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of railcar operations, batching, grain elevator processes, and railcar experience.
- Proficiency in operating a forklift, loading, and reach truck.
- Mechanical skills related to food production and mixing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months experience in production.
- Experience in taking samples during production processes.
Work Environment
The position operates on a 2/2/3 schedule from 6pm to 6am, providing a dynamic and engaging work setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Sioux City, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
