Job Details We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Cost Analyst to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is a permanent role that offers an opportunity to be part of a fast‑paced, high‑performance team, where you will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data. You will be the key point of contact for all cost‑related matters, providing insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and business decision‑making. Responsibilities Develop and maintain cost standards and estimates, including labor, overhead, and material costs. Conduct monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and cost roll‑ups. Prepare, analyze and report monthly manufacturing variances comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and strategic plans. Perform inventory analysis and management to avoid low stock and surplus. Work closely with engineering teams to develop cost reduction strategies. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide cost analysis and financial insights. Ensure compliance with financial legal requirements and company policies. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Participate in the development of new project proposals and project costings. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA will be considered an asset. Extensive knowledge and experience with monthly reporting, financials, annual budget, and inventory analysis. Proficiency in financial software and databases (Oracle ERP, SQL). Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial principles. Proven experience in cost analysis and financial forecasting. Exceptional problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
