Registered Dietitian Location: Norwalk, Connecticut Company: Norwalk Care Center Job Type: FULL_TIME Minimum Years of Experience: 1 As a Registered Dietitian at Norwalk Care Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Participate in the process of diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services Plan and evaluate programs and activities of the Food Services Department, including food handling, sanitation, preparation, services, procedures, and equipment Ensure that charted dietary progress notes are informative and descriptive of services provided and of resident's response to service Maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents as necessary Work with facility consultants to implement recommended changes as required Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors Meet with Dietary and Nursing staff as needed to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or improving services Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift Assist in developing preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the dietary needs of each resident Interpret and evaluate information on a patient's chart and make recommendations for appropriate medical nutrition therapy Requirements Registered Dietitian with a degree from an accredited program 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment We Offer Competitive salary and benefits starting at $72K per year, commensurate with experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
