Sumter Health and Rehabilitation, LLC is seeking applicants for Treatment / Wound Care Nurse, RN. Qualifications Current RN license by State required with experience in long‐term care or working with the geriatric population preferred. Wound care or treatment certifications in the state where the specific duties are performed is preferred but we will certify the right applicants. Duties Oversee all direct wound care activities to assure practices are consistent. Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care in residents. Manage and treat specific skin disorders. Coordinate weekly skin rounds. Perform assessment evaluations using techniques including observation and inspection. Confer with the Care Planning Team in the development of the care plan. Provide treatment for skin disorders within established wound care protocol. Monitor the use of preventive measures such as inspection, turning, and positioning. Precept new nurses and demonstrate individual procedures to new nursing personnel. Order and track the usage of supplies and equipment in prevention and treatment. Assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices, regulatory guidelines, and the policies and goals of this facility. Provide information to residents and caregivers on prevention techniques and other ways to maintain or improve the general health and psychosocial status of the resident. Benefits Competitive wages.
