This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to engage the community, enhance public awareness, and drive participation in events that benefit families in need. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies to build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders. - Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including fundraising events, community outreach programs, and volunteer activities, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. - Collaborate with internal teams to create promotional materials and communication plans to effectively market events and community initiatives. - Identify and secure sponsorships and partnerships that enhance the reach and impact of events and community programs. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement and event initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement. - Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines. - Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers and staff involved in event planning and execution. - Serve as a representative of Ronald McDonald House Washington DC community meetings, events, and other public forums to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives. - Stay informed about trends and best practices in community engagement and event management to continuously enhance the organization’s efforts.## QualificationsRequired Education: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Required Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning, community engagement, or a related field. - Proven track record of successfully managing and executing large-scale events. - Experience working with nonprofit organizations or community-based programs is highly desirable. - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
