As a Armed Security Officer - Platform in Englewood, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
