Charge Nurse RN / LPN – New Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center – Newark, New Jersey The Charge Nurse provides services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Unit/Floor in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations and facility policies and procedures. Qualifications Must possess valid NJ state RN or LPN license. Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required. Two (2) years or more of experience as a supervisor/charge nurse in a nursing care center, hospital or other related health care center. Working knowledge with PCC and MDS. Knowledge of current LTC state guidelines. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Bi-lingual is a plus. Responsibilities Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care. Provide the Director with information relative to the nursing needs of the residents and ability to meet those needs. Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and determine if nursing needs are being met. Perform direct nursing care as needed. Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled. $34.00 hourly #J-18808-Ljbffr New Vista Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
