Quality Assurance Technician

Job Full Description Seeking Quality Technician in Burlington, WI! 1st & 2nd Shifts. General Summary Supports the quality team in standard processes to ensure compliance and works with production staff to ensure inspection and testing procedures are maintained. Essential Job Responsibilities Works independently to inspect finished products, raw materials, supplies, equipment for adherence to quality specifications at all locations. Conduct line checks in assigned POD and perform testing as needed, perform weight and portion control procedures as required. Verify samples and pull for retention. Complete all required documents in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor assigned areas to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and compliance to all food safety procedures. Follow all company policies including safety policies and procedures. Verify production line is identifying lot numbers of ingredients in production to support Trace and Recall procedures. Work with quality team to monitor corrective and preventive action activities. Follow process to create new BOM Maintain effective communication with production and management. Bring urgent quality issues to the attention of the QA Manager and/or Production Manager. File and scan documents and ensure scanning is up to date. Participate in Product Reviews Must comply with HACCP monitoring and food safety duties. Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Advanced education preferred. Good communication skills to include the ability to speak, read and write English. Basic math skills required. Basic computer skills required. Ability to use simple inspection tools such as but not limited to scales, thermometers, and test standards, micrometers and microbial swabbing equipment. Must be a team player and work well with fellow employees.
