Rivas Coffee, Cocktails & Kitchen brings together Latin-inspired food, specialty coffee, and handcrafted cocktails in the Houston Heights. We’re looking for friendly, dependable servers who enjoy connecting with guests and take pride in providing attentive, organized service.

Our ideal candidate makes guests feel welcome, stays engaged throughout their visit, and works closely with the team to keep service running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming guest experience. Greet tables promptly, introduce the menu, answer questions, and make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
• Provide accurate, attentive service. Take orders, enter them correctly in Toast, communicate special requests and allergies, and coordinate with the kitchen and bar.
• Stay ahead of guests’ needs. Monitor your section, follow up on outstanding orders, check on meals, refill beverages, and clear dishes without making guests feel rushed.
• Keep your section ready for service. Clean and reset tables, restock service supplies, and complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
• Work as a team. Help run food and drinks, support coworkers during busy periods, process payments accurately, and bring guest concerns to management promptly.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous restaurant serving experience preferred; experience with Toast is a plus.
• Friendly, professional communication and a genuine interest in hospitality.
• The ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a willingness to help beyond your assigned section.
• A willingness to learn our food, coffee, and cocktail menus and make confident recommendations.

The Right Fit

We’re looking for someone who stays present on the floor, notices when a guest needs assistance, and follows through without constant reminders. You should be comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and taking responsibility for the quality of your service.

Great service means more than taking an order—it means making guests feel cared for from arrival to departure.
