This is neither an instructional coaching position nor a traditional teaching role. You will not review lesson plans or observe lectures, as none exist in this model. Your focus will be on cultivating a culture of excellence through Guide coaching, delivering impactful life skills workshops, and inspiring students to reach ambitious objectives. Success will be evaluated based on the caliber of student experiences, your team's output, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to achieve them. What You Will Be Doing Coaching Guides to reliably deliver outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards. Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that cultivate communication, leadership, concentration, and other practical competencies for K-12 students. Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and optimize their progress within self-directed academic programs. Leveraging data, observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results. Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by fostering a culture grounded in excellence, accountability, and relentless improvement. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering traditional academic instruction or subject-specific lectures. Developing lesson plans or designing curriculum materials. Compromising standards to provide students with superficial success rather than facilitating genuine mastery. Leading a team remotely without direct, regular coaching engagement with both students and Guides. Maintaining outdated methods simply because they represent established practice. Coaching Manager Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student consistently receives Alpha's three promises through the development of high-performing Guides, the execution of compelling life skills programming, and the enforcement of uncompromising standards for student achievement. Basic Requirements Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CA Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a comparable leadership capacity. Proven experience leading and cultivating teams of five or more individuals. Verified success utilizing data to generate performance enhancements. Experience engaging with children ages 5-14 within an educational, coaching, or developmental context. Experience establishing or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Nice-to-have Requirements Background coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular activities. Outstanding public speaking and storytelling capabilities. A documented history of attaining elevated levels of academic, professional, or athletic achievement. Experience driving teams toward ambitious objectives while sustaining rigorous accountability. Enthusiasm for challenging traditional education paradigms and contributing to a transformative K-12 learning model. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
