School Psychologist

Position Summary Our client is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services in support of student academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional success. The School Psychologist will perform services in accordance with district policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal and State regulations. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations for special education eligibility, providing consultation and counseling services, completing functional behavior assessments, supporting behavioral and academic interventions, participating in crisis response activities, facilitating meetings, writing reports, and ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements. The School Psychologist will collaborate closely with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate educational services and supports. Position Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in accordance with Federal and State guidelines and district policies. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams and eligibility determinations. Administer, score, interpret, and communicate results from psychological assessments. Develop and provide recommendations to support student learning, behavior, and social‑emotional functioning. Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and assist with the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Assist in the development and implementation of educational interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide direct and indirect academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional support services. Participate in crisis response, prevention, and intervention efforts. Facilitate and participate in IEP, eligibility, manifestation determination, and other special education meetings. Communicate effectively with families, educators, administrators, and community partners. Coordinate services with medical, mental health, and social service agencies when appropriate. Maintain all required documentation, reports, and records in compliance with district, State, and Federal requirements. Complete all Medicaid billing and related documentation as required by district procedures. Apply current research, best practices, educational theory, and applicable case law to support decision‑making and programming. Provide supervision and direction to assigned school psychology interns, practicum students, paraprofessionals, or other personnel as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned by district leadership. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a NASP‑approved or APA‑approved School Psychology program. Current active School Psychologist license, certification, or credential required by the State of South Carolina. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and professional communication skills.
