About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Salem, Massachusetts, 01970!

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU serving a wide range of adult patients including those with Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI Bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock
• Maintain a 1:2 or 1:1 RN-to-patient ratio in the ICU, adjusting to 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, managing up to 4-5 patients per assignment
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as required for both ICU and float assignments
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours per day

• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of continuous adult ICU experience, preferably in a MICU setting
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical units as needed

• Experience in a Level III Trauma Center or similarly complex community hospital environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR charting system
• Experience caring for high-acuity patients including those with Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, or Cardiogenic Shock

• Work within a dynamic, high-acuity ICU supported by attending physicians and residents around the clock in a 400+ bed community facility
• Complimentary on-site parking available for staff
