About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Evenings Hours per Shift: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM with Call every 8 weeks Experience: 1 year of Sterile Processing experience License: Not required Certifications: BLS, CRCST or CBSPD Must-Have: Experience with ultrasonic cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization Description: The position involves working in the Sterile Processing Department. Responsibilities include assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of instruments. Experience in handling common OR instrumentation is required. Familiarity with equipment used to disinfect and sterilize common supplies is essential. Ability to work evening shifts and respond to call requirements is expected. Call requirements include 24 hours every Saturday and Sunday every 8 weeks. Self-scheduling is available for shifts. Weekend and holiday call requirements are also present. No floating to different units is expected. Dress code for the position is blue (ceil). Orientation to the unit will be provided to all staff members. The position entails working within a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to respond within 30 minutes for call duties.
