Perm Placement: RN Mother Baby

Mother-Baby Ob Nurse

This position is titled Mother-Baby, but is really in OB and looking for an experienced OB nurse. Every nurse in the department gets trained in every area. Even though hired as Mother-Baby, they are just as much a NICU nurse and neonatal nurse. Looking for candidates with experience in OB nursery, L&D, or mother baby (must have at least 1 year experience).

Salary and shift differential pay:

• Salary: ***K - ***K

Work hours & on-call hours required:

• Hours: Night (7P-7A) Really 6:45P-7:15A (Dept. huddle at shift change and scrubs are provided).
• OnCall: Unit requires call (1 shift call every 2 weeks and only for scheduled shifts. If called, they have 1 hour to present).

PTO:

• 0-2 years of experience: 24 hours
• 2-5 years of experience: 40 hours
• 6+ years of experience: 80 hours

Relocation fee & applicable details: *** if coming from out of state.

Sign-on bonus & applicable details: Up to *** depending on experience. To be paid out over a 24 month timeframe.

Incentive: *** per year incentive if they have specialty certification. After they have been there 90 days, it will be paid out. If they obtain certification after hire, they will still be eligible for incentive. It costs about *** to take the certification test. Once certification is received, then pays out the *** incentive.

Urgency of need to fill: Want filled within 30-60 days

Coworker/patient ratio: OB: AWHONN guidelines (goal) - It is real healthcare and may change depending on needs.

Educational, certification and/or licensure requirements:

• 1 year OB experience

Continuing Edu: Send nurses to OKC and Ardmore where more educators for further education and specialized training.

Description of interview process:

• WebEx to start - Give description overview of unit and culture, very conversational.
• Behavioral questions - Nurse Manager very transparent. Open to do a department tour and meet some of the nurses.

Unit Update Effective: 06/13 Unit changing to be a closed unit, which means they will not float unless they choose to. Each quarter Nurse Mgr. will meet with workers and during that time they can decide if they would like to be considered to float. They will be trained at the facility they will be floating to.
