Maintenance Technician II – 2nd Shift As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible to perform all phases of plant maintenance. This consists of mechanical, building & grounds, electrical and electronic repairs utilizing precision maintenance skills. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining equipment. You will support and enable preventative maintenance at the plant. You are expected to learn intermediate maintenance skills and complete related tasks as needed. You will need to be able to work independently and confidently as you will often be the only mechanic/electrician on-site. Responsibilities Perform departmental precision maintenance by completing work orders assigned. Perform general buildings and grounds repairs as necessary. Monitor and repair general plant equipment such as air compressors, dryers, boilers, etc. Understand how to work safely and speak up when you do not Continue to learn new skills and grow in your maintenance expertise Train other maintenance and reliability technicians Be proficient in at least intermediate-level mechanical and electrical capabilities Must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection. Essential Skills and Experience High School diploma or GED 3+ years of experience in Maintenance in manufacturing environment Good communication skills, both verbal and written Effectively use computer applications Ability to organize and prioritize tasks Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including ability to problem solve Demonstrated proficiency in intermediate-level technical competencies, for example, predictive and preventative maintenance, electrical systems, and troubleshooting Experience with welding and fabrication Knowledge of food safety requirements and HACCPKnowledge of equipment and machinery typical of the grain processing industry. Knowledge of Packers, Conveyors, Labelers, Palletizers and Stretch wrapping machinery. Knowledge and understanding of 480V / 3PH electricity. Knowledge and understanding of PLC’s with the ability to read ladder logic. Good to Have CMRT certification Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field Experience with carpentry, fabrication and plumbing. Ability to install ductwork, spouting, and other sheet metal work as required. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to climb and work at heights to 130ft. Must be able to tolerate outside year-round weather conditions. Must be able to work in environments typical of grain processing facilities. Shift Differential The Company provides a shift differential to eligible employees who are assigned to and work shifts outside of standard business hours. Shift differential is paid in addition to the employee's regular base hourly rate and is included in the calculation of the regular rate for overtime purposes.
