Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: - Precepting skills preferred - Flexibility to work weekends - Ability to float between like units Description: Looking for a strong caregiver to support the PM shift. First-time travelers accepted. Weekend requirements depend on length of the contract. No on-call requirements. Must be open to accommodating block schedules as per management discretion. Candidates may be required to float to mother-baby units. Local candidates accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted. Must include reasons for time off at the time of submission. Facility can call off staff once per two-week pay period. Facility staffed beds total 356. Daily census ranges from 210-257 births per month. Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, and adults. Interdisciplinary support includes various medical services. Patient diagnoses involve low and high-risk labor patients, including antepartum with multiples and hypertensive disorders. Ideal candidates would have experience in floating to postpartum units, newborn care at delivery, and care for at least two hours post-delivery. Additional skills required include assisting with cesarean sections, managing postpartum hemorrhage, and transfusing blood products. Candidates must possess the ability to apply internal monitoring devices and perform non-stress tests. All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the given state. Reference checks covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required. Candidates must respond to specific inquiries regarding their previous employment history.
