Must-Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with specified coursework
• Minimum of six months of clinical laboratory experience across core areas
• Certification must be maintained in active status for the duration of employment

Description: The Medical Laboratory Technician performs specimen processing, testing, and reporting of test results. Compliance with regulatory requirements, policy, and procedures is essential. The technician is responsible for providing quality patient care within a laboratory setting. The laboratory offers sub-specialties in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, microbiology, and clinical microscopy. Coverage is provided 24 hours a day, requiring rotation between day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and the required science coursework. Experience can be obtained through clinical training aligned with defined scope of practice. Maintaining continuing education is necessary for certification upkeep.
