What You'll Do
- Deliver specialized nursing care to obstetric patients, including labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and postpartum care
- Monitor fetal and maternal health using electronic fetal monitoring and other assessment tools
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; observe for side effects and effectiveness
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients' families
- Document patient history, care plans, and progress accurately
- Provide patient education on labor, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
- Support emergency responses and triages in obstetric situations
What You Need
Required:- Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery or perioperative nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and electronic fetal monitoring (C-EFM or Intermediate FHM) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in a hospital setting specializing in obstetrics or perinatal care
- Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in Labor & Delivery
