Emergency Department RN

Schedule

Shift: 10:00am10:00pm, 3x12s per week with a weekend requirement of 2 weekends per 6-week schedule.

Assignment Details

Travel assignment with potential floating between sites.

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department nursing and prior travel experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Experience with a variety of patient age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
• Knowledge of core ED skills including triage, IV management, care of ventilated patients, emergency medications, and dysrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct triage and assessments of patients across all age groups.
• Maintain IVs, administer IV vasopressors and blood products.
• Manage care for ventilated patients and perform central line care.
• Monitor and administer continuous IV sedation.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage emergency medications.
• Handle psychiatric cases, including managing overdoses and patients requiring psychiatric holds.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine is required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed). Prior travel experience is mandatory; previous permanent employees are not accepted as travelers for this assignment.
