PRN Charge Nurse Registered/License Practical Nurse

PRN Nurse (RN/LPN)

Cheyenne County Village is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented PRN Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our nursing team.

We are looking for a nurse who is committed to providing quality resident-centered care and who can confidently work independently while collaborating with CNAs, CMAs, physicians, families, and other members of the healthcare team.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to residents.
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare providers and responsible parties.
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
• Supervise and provide direction to CNAs and other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Assist with care planning and implementation of resident care plans.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in shift-to-shift communication and resident report.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, and quality of life.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing team to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Current Kansas nursing license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Previous long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate nursing judgments.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work as needed.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and respect toward residents, families, and coworkers.

PRN Position

Schedule: PRN/as needed, including availability for open shifts, call-ins, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: Competitive PRN hourly rate based on experience.
