Home Health RN Job Details

• Location: Denver, Colorado, serving the surrounding Denver metro area
• Healthcare Setting: Home health and in-home skilled nursing care
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120–$2,230
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through January 31, 2027
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with a rotating on-call requirement
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Productivity Expectation: 30 points per week
• Travel Requirement: Field-based home health visits throughout the Denver metro area
• Mileage: Mileage reimbursement between patient visits is available according to assignment guidelines

Home Health Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or compact-state eligibility
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including home health nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience completing OASIS assessments and start-of-care documentation
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Strong clinical assessment, organization, documentation, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in patients’ homes and travel throughout the assigned service area
• Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Professional certification and current RN credentials must be maintained throughout the assignment

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive skilled nursing care to patients in their homes
• Perform start-of-care visits and complete accurate OASIS assessments and related clinical documentation
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the broader care team
• Provide wound care, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of healing progress
• Manage medications, evaluate effectiveness and adherence, and identify potential adverse reactions or changes in condition
• Collect and process ordered laboratory specimens and communicate results or concerns appropriately
• Provide catheter care and management while monitoring for complications
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, medications, treatments, safety, and signs that require medical attention
• Coordinate services and communicate patient updates with physicians and other members of the care team
• Complete timely, thorough clinical documentation in accordance with home health standards
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage and respond appropriately to patient needs
