Recruiting Specialist

Envocore, LLC is an established national leader engaged in the engineering, designing and installation of energy-efficient systems. Our company designs and installs projects for a wide range of Government, Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Medical, Institutional and Retail facilities across the United States.

SUMMARY: The Recruiting Specialist supports company staffing objectives by managing full-cycle recruiting activities and building reliable talent pipelines for office, field, technical, and project-based positions. This role partners with hiring managers to clarify workforce needs, sources and evaluates qualified candidates, coordinates compliant pre-employment processes, and delivers professional candidate experience. The position also maintains recruiting records, reports on hiring activity, and develops productive relationships with staffing agencies, schools, community organizations, unions, and other recruiting partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with hiring managers and operations leaders to identify current and anticipated staffing needs, define position requirements, and establish practical recruiting strategies.
• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including requisition intake, job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate evaluation, selection support, offers, pre-employment coordination, and onboarding handoff.
• Develop diverse applicant sources through job boards, social media, employee referrals, colleges, community organizations, workforce agencies, staffing firms, unions, professional networks, and targeted outreach.
• Conduct structured candidate screens and interviews; assess experience and qualifications against job-related requirements; document selection decisions consistently and objectively.
• Coordinate reference checks, background-screening steps, Form I-9 and E-Verify activities, and other pre-employment requirements in accordance with company procedures and applicable law.
• Prepare and distribute accurate offer letters and related hiring documents; communicate clearly with candidates regarding status, next steps, and onboarding expectations.
• Maintain accurate and timely recruiting records in the applicant tracking system and other HR systems, including requisitions, candidate dispositions, interview notes, approvals, and source information.
• Create and maintain clear, accurate job descriptions, requisitions, and branded job postings in partnership with HR and department leadership.
• Build and manage relationships with external recruiting vendors; evaluate service, negotiate pricing within delegated authority, and confirm adherence to company requirements.
• Provide interview guidance and training to hiring managers, including lawful and job-related interviewing practices, documentation expectations, and consistent candidate evaluation.
• Monitor recruiting activity and provide regular updates and reports on open positions, pipeline status, hiring progress, aging requisitions, and recruiting challenges.
• Travel to project or jobsite locations, career events, schools, agency locations, or other recruiting venues as business needs require.
• Protect confidential candidate and company information and handle records in accordance with company policy and applicable privacy requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or a closely related human resources role.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for multiple positions or locations.
• Working knowledge of lawful and consistent hiring practices, including appropriate interview and selection documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone and candidate communication skills.
• Ability to organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and experience using an applicant tracking system, HRIS, job boards, or similar recruiting technology.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%, including travel to jobsite locations when required.
• Experience with ADP preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position routinely uses standard office equipment and requires prolonged periods of computer and telephone work. The employee must be able to communicate effectively, review information on screens and in documents, and travel to recruiting events, offices, and active job-site environments as assigned. Jobsite visits may require compliance with site-specific safety rules and use of required personal protective equipment.
