Location: Anywhere in Country Key Responsibilities Lead large‑scale AI data‑ready architectures for clients in the utilities sector. Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality using Agile and Waterfall methods. Coach junior team members and oversee professional staff on technical initiatives. Conduct research, analysis and continuous process improvement to develop innovative data solutions. Engage with senior business leaders, C‑level, and delivery teams to define and execute data strategies. Design, architect, and present data solutions, including data lake, lakehouse, mesh, and fabric architectures. Serve as trusted advisor, influencing strategic decisions and new business opportunities. Establish data governance, security, and lifecycle management policies. Skills & Attributes Application integration, cloud computing architecture and data architecture design. Data integration, data quality, AI and agentic AI‑driven data operations. Experience delivering business use cases in Transmission / Distribution / Generation / Customer. Trusted advisor to senior decision makers within clients and EY. Collaboration with data scientists, business analysts, IT teams to design and implement data strategies. Organization of workshops and design sessions with stakeholders. Leadership of global data architecture and engineering teams. Establishment of data governance policies and practices. Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in STEM. 8+ years professional consulting experience in industry or technology consulting. 8+ years hands‑on experience architecting data lake solutions. 3+ years experience with native cloud products (Azure or GCP). 5+ years mentoring and leading teams of data architects and engineers. In‑depth knowledge of data architecture principles: modelling, warehousing, data lakes, integration. Proven leadership of large data engineering teams building platforms with complex architectures. Hands‑on experience designing end‑to‑end pipelines delivering data efficiently and reliably. Proficiency in modelling techniques and architectural patterns (Data Fabrics, Data Mesh, Lakehouse, Delta Lake). Experience managing data analysis, migration, integration to modern platforms with performance optimization. Hands‑on coding in Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and DevOps practices. Understanding of data encryption, access control, security best practices. Experience leading infrastructure and security architects. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Knowledge in data security, database management, enterprise metadata management, ontology design. Ideally: Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field. Experience at Big 4 or major utility. Experience with cloud data platforms like Databricks. Leading and influencing teams with a focus on mentorship. Passion for innovation and strategic application of emerging technologies. Ability to foster inclusive environment and value diverse perspectives. Building and managing relationships & client trust & commercial astuteness. Communicating with impact and digital fluency. Benefits Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary range $125,500–$230,200 nationally and adjusted ranges for major metros.
