Business Analyst/Consultant IV

Business AnalystMilwaukee County is seeking an experienced, high-energy business analyst for initiatives within the Department of Administrative Services - Information Management Services Division project portfolio. Responsibilities will be to assist with optimizing use of ERP modules (Cash Management, including Bank Reconciliation) and other selected initiatives to improve end user productivity in Finance and Supply Chain.Responsibilities:Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes as it relates to the system and user needs.Formulates business processes to support overall business strategies.Ability to communicate effectively with users and departmental management.Experience with identifying solutions to business problems using process reengineering and technology.Familiar with current and emerging technologies and standards.Effective at following plans and completing goals on time and on budget.At ease at working independently and able to perform a variety of complicated tasks.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Required QualificationsFive or more years of experience with business analysis or related area.Four Years Knowledge of Finance practices and Systems with focus on any or all of Cash Management, Accounts Receivable & Billing, Accounts Payable, Global Ledger, and Fixed Assets.Understanding of business processes and process mapping.Excellent communication skills including experience presenting to Executive Leadership.Ability to develop, document and communicate effective business requirements with traceability to test cases.Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required by the position.Desired Qualifications2 Years of Previous government experienceSix Sigma, Lean or Equivalent Process Reengineering CertificationPrior experience with Jira softwarePrior experience with Lawson or Infor CloudSuite FinancialsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a strong Accounting emphasis, and solid experience with business applications.
