The Lead Residential Care Aide position is a lead role specifically designed to implement patient Aggression Prevention Program. This position implements policy, procedure, and evidence-based best practices in conjunction with patient treatment plans to create a safe and therapeutic environment for staff and patients. Due to these expectations, the position requires strong knowledge, skills, and abilities related to identifying risk of patient aggression, preventative/pre-emptive intervention, crisis response, and leadership to implement a team approach for aggression prevention for patients. These efforts include, but are not limited to, unit duties and administrative work such as attending committees. Concise documentation of patient risk ratings and plans to mitigate risk of aggression, direct service to patients, and provision of training/coaching/assistance/intervention fidelity for staff are essential to the success of the aggression prevention program and this position.
