Right At Home Caregiver Position

Responsibilities and duties: Perform personal care activities that help the patient with daily living activities including (but not limited to):

• Personal hygiene (helping with toileting or using a urinal, bathing, oral care, shaving, skin and hair care)
• Ambulation/transfers
• Eating
• Dressing/shaving
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or doctor appointments
• Perform cleaning activities including (but not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, washing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms

Perform patient-specific activities taught by a Right at Home nurse. These could include (but not limited to):

• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Measuring and preparing special diets
• Understanding dementia care
• Incontinence care

Qualifications and skills: Home health aide certification or certified nursing assistant certification (required)

• At least 1 year of home health caregiver/assistant experience in health care (recommended)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job (recommended)
• Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile (required)
