You’ll challenge advanced language models on topics such as reactor optimization, heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, phase equilibria, process safety, separation processes, polymer science, and industrial process control – documenting every failure mode so we can harden model reasoning. Responsibilities Engage with the model on real‑world engineering scenarios and theoretical chemical engineering questions. Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model outputs. Capture reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. Qualifications Ph.D. in chemical engineering or closely related field (preferred). Experience with process simulations, lab‑scale or pilot‑plant work, or industry roles using tools such as Aspen Plus or COMSOL. Peer‑reviewed publications and strong analytical skills. Excellent metacognitive communication skills – ability to “show your work” and explain reasoning. Compensation Pay range of $8–$65 per hour, with exact rate determined after evaluating your experience, expertise, and geographic location.
