TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Lexington, Kentucky, 40509!

Job Title: ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year(s) License: Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry, vent, and drip titrations experience required. RNs must be able to titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set rate drips include cardiac, sedation, and paralytics. RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips. Description: The unit has 10 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. A charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment. Patient care techs are not always available on the unit. There is a hospitalist and/or intensivist available in-house 24/7. Respiratory therapy staff are also present in the ICU 24/7. RNs are required to troubleshoot respiratory equipment. Self-scheduling is available but subject to change for balanced staffing. Weekend requirements include 6 shifts in a 6-week period. Holiday requirements are 2 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays. Floating to other units may occur as needed. Scrub color for staff is galaxy blue. Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
