Travel Nurse RN – Pediatrics PACU (Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit) Job Description & Requirements We are seeking a travel RN for a 13‑week assignment at a Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in Columbia, Missouri. The role involves providing observation and care for post‑operative patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia, monitoring for adverse reactions, and moving patients to a recovery room when ready. Position Details Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts) Shift: 12 hours, day Employment type: Travel Specialty Pediatrics PACU – Post Anesthesia Care Responsibilities Handle a broad range of patients from pediatrics to adults. Develop individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition. Monitor critical patients for condition changes and report to the physician. Determine when patients are ready to move to a regular ward. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lift up to 50 pounds as required. Qualifications ACLS, BLS, PALS certificates (minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience). 2 years of recent acute care experience. Additional certifications may be required before assignment. Pay and Stipend Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (confirmation pending). A tax‑free stipend will be provided.
